πŸ›️ Hotels don’t just sell rooms… They sell sleep, comfort & peace of mind. And behind that experience, Housekeeping plays one of the most powerful roles in hospitality. Guests may first interact with the Front Office. But it is Housekeeping that quietly shapes how guests feel during their stay. ✨ Fresh linen ✨ Clean surroundings ✨ Perfectly arranged pillows ✨ A pleasant fragrance ✨ A comfortable bed These small details create something much bigger: ❤️ Comfort ❤️ Trust ❤️ Relaxation ❤️ Guest loyalty Because in hospitality, emotions become memories. One important truth often gets overlooked: Fresh linen is replaced regularly… But the mattress beneath it is rarely considered part of the visible guest experience. Yet hotels sell sleep. And the bed should reflect that. A guest may forget the lobby dΓ©cor or room tariff… But they will always remember how well they slept. That is the silent power of housekeeping. Many people think housekeeping is only about cleaning rooms. In reali...

πŸ—‚️ How to Fix Slow Access to Shared Folders in Windows 10 /11

πŸ—‚️ How to Fix Slow Access to Shared Folders in Windows 10 /11 Slow access to shared folders can disrupt workflow, delay collaboration, and reduce productivity—especially in office environments where network drives are used daily. If you’ve noticed that shared folders take several seconds (or longer) to open in Windows 10 , you’re not alone. In many cases, the issue is related to how Windows handles file and directory caching. The good news? There is a practical solution. πŸ“Œ Understanding the Cause Windows uses caching mechanisms to improve network performance. It temporarily stores directory and file information to reduce repeated network requests. However, in some environments, these cache settings can have the opposite effect—resulting in: Delayed folder opening Slow file listing Lag when browsing network shares. Adjusting these cache values can significantly improve response time. ✅ Solution: Modify Registry Cache Settings ⚠️ Important: Editing the Windows Registry shoul...

How to Turn Your Windows PC Into a Wi-Fi Hotspot

Image
How to Turn Your Windows PC Into a Wi-Fi Hotspot Windows can turn your laptop (or desktop) into a wireless hotspot, allowing your other devices to connect to it. With Internet Connection Sharing, it can share your Internet connection with those connected devices. Thanks to a hidden virtual Wi-Fi adapter feature in Windows, you can even create a Wi-Fi hotspot while you’re connected to another Wi-Fi network, sharing one Wi-Fi connection over another one. Setup a Wi-Fi Hotspot Using Connective If you want to setup a Wi-Fi router hotspot with loads of options and a nice interface, Connective has a great application called Hotspot that lets you easily create a hotspot from your internet connection. If you pay for the Pro version you can even use your PC as a Wi-Fi repeater or a wired router, or share a tethered connection off your phone. Connective Hotspot is great if you’re at a hotel that charges per device, or if you’re on a plane and you connect your laptop...

HOW TO APPLY CYBEROAM 10 FIRMWARE UPDATES

Image
A few times a year a notification on your Cyberoam’s dashboard that looks like this: The update can be downloaded directly from the link and the update process is fairly painless. I’ve done this for two dozen or more units and never had one brick, so there’s a very little worry here. Also, the Cyberoam keeps two firmware images in memory so that if something goes wrong, it just boots from the last valid image (i.e. the one it’s running now). Still, I’d do this after hours and take a configuration backup first. I recommend that you check my article on Automatic Cyberoam Backups and add them before going further. Applying Cyberoam Firmware Updates Step 1 -  Take a manual backup of your Cyberoam. It’s fairly easy to do. Go to the Maintenance Menu under the System Menu on the left. Select the Backup and Restore tab and click the “Download Now” button. A file download of the configuration file will start. It’s a small file so even if you’re doing this over the in...
